About Baronius Press. Baronius Press is a Catholic book publisher originally founded in It takes its name from the Venerable Cardinal Caesar Baronius, a Neapolitan ecclesiastical historian from the late 's. Its logo is a biretta, which together with a cassock forms the traditional image of a Catholic priest. THE LITURGY, or official public worship of the Church, comprises the holy sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacraments and Sacramentals, and the canonical hours, or official daily prayer of the Church. It is the latter which is contained in the Roman Breviary, par excellence, the prayer-book of the Church.

As previously announced, the Baronius Press edition of the Roman Breviary has now been released and I wanted to present a quick review. At its most basic, what we are speaking about here is a parallel Latin-English edition of the Breviarium Romanum; this is the breviary envisioned for use under the terms of the motu proprio Summorum. Book: The Roman Breviary Publisher: Baronius Press Current Publication Status: In print Cost: USD Where: Here Form: Extraordinary - Review: The Baronius Press Roman Breviary - Breviarium Romanum in English and Latin. I remember the days right after Summorum Pontificum when there were no printed resources for the old breviary and you had to scrounge for old copies left in some.

This indispensable booklet contains the English translation of the Latin rubrical texts that comprise the Rubricae Generales sections in the editions of the Missale Romanum and Breviarium Romanum. Fully indexed and easy to read, this nearly pocket-size book helps to take the mystery out of local Ordos and how they daily implement the rubrics for saying Mass and the Breviary, has important.   Pray the Pre Vatican II, Traditional Roman Catholic Breviary to sanctify the new year and prepare for Eastertide, in English totally in order! No back and forth flipping, no excessive clicking, no complex calculating what Day it is or which propers, or antiphons - just click the Date and pray the Liturgy of the Hours.
